What is the UJALA scheme this is what we are going to explain you in details.

Unnat Jivan by Affordable LEDs and Appliances for All (UJALA) scheme aims to promote efficient use of energy at the residential level; enhance the awareness of consumers about the efficacy of using energy efficient appliances and aggregating demand to reduce the high initial costs thus facilitating higher uptake of LED lights by residential users.
A simple act of change of one light bulb to LED. The initiative is part of the GOI efforts to spread the message of energy efficiency in the country which is very beneficial to reduce global warming effects and fulfils the promise of Green energy up to some extent as reducing the usage of electricity.
It may be noted that the scheme was initially labelled DELP (Domestic Efficient Lighting Program) and was relaunched as UJALA.
Every domestic household having metered connection is eligible for this scheme. The consumer can purchase the LED on EMI payment (monthly/bimonthly instalments in electricity bill) or on upfront payment by paying the full amount.
Documents Required
1. Taking Bulbs on EMI – Copy of latest electricity bill and copy of Government authorized ID proof
2. Purchasing directly without EMI – Copy of Government authorized ID proof.
From where to purchase
UJALA LED bulbs are being distributed through special counters (kiosks) set up at designated places in a city.

LED bulbs provided by the government is around 60% cheaper than normal LED bulbs if you purchase from normal market.
Priced between INR 75- INR 95 per LED bulb however it may vary from state to state due to VAT, administrative costs, awareness and distribution costs.

LED bulbs provided are coming with three years replacement warranty.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), this is what we are going to explain  with complete details and step by step procedure to apply.

Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is a scheme which was started by our very own prime minister narendra modi ji. Under this scheme people living below poverty line can get LPG connections easily and on very minimal charges.
The aim is to replace the old fashion way of cooking food by burning coal or wood, which not only is very hazardous to health but also creates pollution.

The main objectives of this scheme is to empower our country’s women living below poverty line, reducing health issues due to using coal or wood for burning, reducing number of deaths due to unclean cooking and preventing young children from health issue like respiratory problems etc.

Eligibility criteria for this scheme is that applicant are:

1. Applicant should be a women and her name should appear in SECC-2011 data
2. Applicant should be more than 18 years
3. Applicant should be living in below poverty line (BPL)
4. Applicant must have Aadhaar card and a saving account in any nationalized bank
5. Last applicant should not have any LPG connection running in his family.

Mandatory documents to be submitted with the application form

1. BPL certificate
2. BPL ration card
3. One photo ID(Aadhar or Voter ID card)

scheme also provides a financial support of Rs. 1600 for each LPG connection to the eligible BPL households.
The government will also provide EMI facility for meeting the cost of stove and refill.

A house is like a security for every individual. After doing hard work all day everybody want to relax in his home. A house is like a dream come true for every individual if they can afford it however many people in our country cannot afford it.
As property rates are raising day by day affordability for common man to own a house is not improving but is gone to decreasing day by day.

Government of India has took a major step in this area so that people who cannot afford houses will be benefitted with the scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana(PMAY).
Last June on 25th in year 2015, the scheme was launched. The primary aim of this scheme is to build around 2 crore houses across length and breadth of our country. Estimated completion year of the scheme is 2022.

This scheme is primarily meant for people living under lower income group(LIG) andeconomically weaker sections(EWS).
 Now this scheme has been extended to middle class people as well. 

Main aim for the scheme is

1. In-situ Rehabilitation of existing slum dwellers using land as a resource through private participation
2. Credit Linked Subsidy
3. Affordable Housing in Partnership
4. Subsidy for Beneficiary-led individual house construction/enhancement.

Three Phases of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna(PMAY)

PMAY Phase 1: From April 2015 to March 2017, this phase will begin the development of total 100 cities that must be completed during this phase.

PMAY Phase 2: From April 2017 to March 2019, after Phase 1, the development of total number of 200 more cities will be covered.

PMAY Phase 3: From April 2019 to March 2022, All the remaining cities of India will complete its PMAY housing development process.

Subsidy range anywhere between INR 1 lakh and INR 2.30 lakh to LIG and EWS section of urban population. However you can check the complete list also.
